The bladder is that organ that stores the urine before it exits the body. It is important to know the risk of developing bladder cancer and eventually prevent it whenever possible. Bladder cancer often begins in the cells (urothelial cells) that line the inside of your bladder. There are 3 types of bladder cancer:<\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Urothelial Carcinoma (UCC) &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This cancer affects the inside of the bladder and accounts for 90% of bladder cancers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Squamous cell Carcinoma &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Squamous cells develop in the bladder lining which could be irritable and have inflammation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Adenocarcinoma.<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cancer grows in the thin tissue on the inner surface of the bladder, and since the bladder muscle is not involved it does not spread to other parts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Muscle-invasive bladder cancer &#8211; <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here cancer on the muscle spreads to the thick tissue of the inner surface of the bladder wall.
